More of a home than a holiday home

100 year old Farmhouse Katričnek has been lovingly renovated into four high-quality apartments and (coming Spring 2009) a private wellness centre for the exclusive use of our guests. We, our Slovenian architect and the local heritage board were determined to preserve the charm of the building as much as possible during its transformation into luxury holiday accomodation. Several years later, after much hard work, we're proud to welcome you to our Farmhouse, some of the finest holiday accommodation Slovenia had to offer. Forgive us if we sound a bit smug but it's turned our really well and we're pleased as punch.

Outside.

The jacuzzi sits in a screened off sectioned of the front garden so you can gaze up at the stars or the clear blue sky while your troubles get bubbled away. The back garden, meanwhile sits under a a huge cliff that surrounds the village and helps to create its own rather toasty micro climate. There's a BBQ area and mini orchard with benches and loads of rooms to lie back and sunbathe or go pixie hunting, it just depends how mature you're feeling. Like the country holiday you've always imagined, you can pick your breakfast off the vine, or grill your dinner on the barbecue under the cliff. Climb up to the top if you'd like to go exploring but be careful please, it's high and we get nervous. Plus the views from the balcony are equally fantastic.

Everyone wants different quantities of relaxation and adventure in rural holiday. Some like just a tablespoon of one while others want jugs of the stuff. Helpfully, the Farmhouse is both tranquil and very accessible (just 40 minutes from the airport) allowing you to mix your holiday cocktail exactly how you like it.

You can lounge away the morning at Bled in a lakeside café, tour the island church, then pop into a shop or two before dinner. If you're feeling a little more Indiana Jones you can head down to Lake Bohinj and paraglide out across the beautiful Triglav National Park. There are more activities at Bohinj than you can shake a paddle at, from horse-riding to rock-climbing and everything in between. And once we get everything finished off, you'll be able to head back home, grab your robe and meander downstairs to the private wellness centre for some top class pampering. Lovely.
